Cygnus has always been somewhat of an introvert. Keeping to himself, he does his best to avoid contact with others, although with the struggle between the forces of Light and Darkness it is becoming more difficult for him to avoid meeting other Keyblade wielders. Preferring to simply study the world around him, he is quite content not taking part in the ongoing hostilities.

Appearance
Standing at 5'10", Cygnus is a fairly average height for a 19 year old.  He has an athletic build due to having to survive on his own for years and he has silver hair that reaches down into his gray eyes.  As far as clothing goes, he tends to wear a hooded coat to hide his identity, as he doesn't want to get involved with the struggles going on in the world.  Underneath the coat he usually just wears a t-shirt and jeans.

Born in Radiant Garden to a pair of average citizens, Cygnus had a fairly normal childhood. He was curious and smart, always questioning things that interested him in order to find out more about how things worked. At the age of 10, however, tragedy struck as a fire started in his house and he was barely able to escape, leaving his parents trapped inside of the house. Terrified, he started to run and he found himself far away from the rest of the city and eventually stumbled across another town called Twilight Town.

Managing to survive on his own through stealing food and living in the underground tunnel system, he eventually made a few friends among the other kids of Twilight Town who he played with during their vacations from school.  One day when he was exploring the town, he decided to go up to the clock tower.  Looking around in the area behind the clock face, a man who had his face obscured by a black hood stepped out of what appeared to be a doorway made out of darkness. Seemingly surprised at finding a child there, he appeared to size him up and then nodded to himself.  Extracting a promise from Cygnus to keep a secret, he performed a Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony with him before stepping back into the darkness and disappearing again.  A few years later when he was 13, a group of heartless attacked him in the tunnels. Unable to escape, he was forced to face them and when he did so a strange weapon materialized into his hands. In the ensuing fight, he was able to defeat the heartless, and he found himself fascinated with the weapon. With this fascination, he began to try and learn more about it, withdrawing more into himself from the other kids and focusing more of his time on the Keyblade, as he discovered these weapons were called.

As the years went by, he discovered that possessing the Keyblade allowed him to use magic, an art which fascinated him as much as the Keyblade itself. Hearing more about the struggle between the forces of Light and Darkness, he resolved to exclude himself from the conflict. He saw Light and Darkness as means to an end, neither better than the other depending on how they were used. Eventually he decided to wander around the world on his own, hoping to discover new places and creatures as well as advance his understanding of magic.
